Since its inception in 2017, Stop Food Waste Day has become a global movement that challenges participants to consider how they can protect and improve our planet. On Wednesday, April 29th at Penland Dining Hall from 11AM-1PM, guests will learn how their food choices can leave a smaller carbon footprint. Through the Waste Not Teaching Kitchen, students will learn how to make a delicious salad using all parts of vegetables, and our Campus Dietician, Kirsten Hancock will teach guests how to regrow vegetables from scraps. Participants will be able to enter a raffle for an at- home hydroponics vegetable garden!
