  • Garden Eco Rep, 2026

Paul Abu Conteh is currently on his second spell at Baylor University. He was at Baylor from 2013 to 2015, where he earned his Master’s in Social Work from the Garland School of Social Work. He returned to Baylor in Spring 2025 for a Master of Arts in Theology, Ecology & Food Justice at Truett Theological Seminary. Before returning to Waco, Paul served as Program Manager for Restore Hope and as Country Director for Princess Promise. He taught social work to undergraduate students at the University of Sierra Leone. Besides his professional and academic responsibilities, Paul co-founded Agraverse, an agro-based ministry dedicated to ending hunger and poverty among farmers in his native Sierra Leone.

Upon graduation, Paul hopes to return to Sierra Leone and continue his work in academia and agriculture. His interest is in the intersection of higher education, agroecology, and public policy. He hopes to use his platforms to rally farmers and citizens alike to promote food security, propel agrarian cities, and provide economic empowerment for the rural farmers living in poverty.

In his spare time, Paul loves to watch European football, listen to hip-hop music, watch medieval-themed movies, and go to the gym.
